Rebooting the Goodbricks Terminal App (Admin Guide)

Pre-checks before rebooting

Make sure all the basics are covered:

  • Wi-Fi is connected
    • Open Settings > Wi-Fi and ensure you’re connected to a strong network.
  • Bluetooth is ON
    • Go to Settings > Bluetooth and make sure the toggle is ON.
  • iPad is plugged in or charged
    • Connect to a power source or check battery level (20%+ recommended).
  • Card reader is nearby and turned on
    • You’ll need this during setup.

Steps to reboot the app

  1. Close the app
    • Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause halfway.
    • Find the Goodbricks Terminal app preview, then swipe it up to close.
  2. Open the app again
    • Tap the Goodbricks Terminal app icon on the home screen.
  3. Go through the setup wizard
    • Find your organization by name or URL.
    • Connect your card reader (turn it on, tap ‘Discover Readers’).
    • Name your terminal (like “Lobby Tablet” or “Event June 20”).
    • Select donation categories (toggle visibility with the eye icon and arrange with the 6-dot handle).

Having trouble?

  • Wi-Fi not working? Try switching networks or restarting the iPad.
  • Bluetooth won’t connect? Toggle Bluetooth off/on. Restart the reader if needed.
  • Can’t find your organization? Double-check spelling or ask your manager.
  • Card reader won’t connect? Ensure it’s charged and nearby. Try “Discover Readers” up to 3 times.

When setup is complete, your terminal will be ready to accept donations.
